Dr. Rajit Gadh is a Professor at the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science at UCLA, and the Founding Director of the UCLA Smart Grid Energy Research Center or SMERC. He is also Founder and Director of the *Wireless Internet for Mobile Enterprise Consortium or WINMEC. Dr. Gadh’s research interests include Smart Grid, Micro Grids, Electric Vehicle to Grid Integration, Electric Vehicle (EV) and Autonomous Vehicles (AV), Smart Transportation, AI and machine learning in EV and AV management. Vijay K. Jain, PhD, earned his BE from Vikram University, Ujjain (MACT, Bhopal), and M. E. and Ph.D. from University of Roorkee (now, IIT Roorkee). He has 47 years of teaching and research experience. He has served as a Visiting Professor at the University of California at Berkeley (USA) and University of Nebraska at Lincoln (USA). He retired as a Professor from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2016. He has also served as a faculty member at other Indian Institutions, namely, MREC Jaipur, BITS Pilani, MNREC, Allahabad and MACT Bhopal. Dr. Jain has won three gold medals, two silver medals and one best paper award as recognition to his research work. Prof. Avinash Kumar Agarwal obtained his Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering (1994) from Malviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur and his MTech (Energy, 1996) and PhD (Energy, 1999) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. After his Post-Doctoral Fellowship (1999 – 2001) at the ERC, UW, Madison, USA, he returned to India in 2001 and joined IIT Kanpur. He was a Visiting Professor at the University of Loughborough, UK; Photonics Institute, University of Vienna, Austria; Hanyang University and KAIST, South Korea. Prof. Agarwal is interested in research in IC engines, combustion, conventional and alternative fuels, Methanol/ DME/ Hydrogen/ HCNG fuelled engine development, LCA and TCO analyses, Fuel sprays, Lubricating oil tribology, optical diagnostics, laser ignition, HCCI, particulates and emission control, and large bore engines. Soumyadip Sett is an Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Gandhinagar. He completed his B.Tech. in Power Engineering from Jadavpur in 2011 and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2016. Dr. Prabir Sarkar, did his schooling from Kolkata, India, later he took admission for Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with Physics honors. After finishing his Masters in 2000, he was interested to apply his knowledge of design for the betterment of our country - he joined Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) as a Development Engineer. With her research interests in Modular Robotics, Service robots, Customized optimal designs, Evolutionary robotics and hybrid morphologies, she has an experience of more than fifteen years in Robotics and in applied Optimization fields. She is a recipient of Institute Gold medal during her Master's program, National doctoral fellowship during her doctoral program at IIT Kanpur, CNRS postdoctoral fellowship for UPMC Paris and a recent National award from Institute of Engineers. alternative fuels. Dr. Singh has edited 12 books and authored over30 book chapters and 60+ research articles in
international journals and conferences. He has published several articles in reputed journals like Applied Energy,
International Journal of Engine Research, and Journal of Energy Resource Technology and authored three book
chapters related to RCCI mode combustion. He has been awarded “ISEES Best PhD. Thesis Award” (2017), “SERB Indo-US
Postdoctoral Fellowship” (2017), “IEI Young Engineer Award” (2017), and “ISEES Young Scientist Award” (2018).
